Gourd Drum Making Class

Part of the "Music In the Mountain" Festival


Make your own drum using a gourd.
Registration is limited so register today.

In this introductory class we will be making, from start to finish a gourd drum, similar to the picture above. Starting with a cleaned gourd students will learn how to scribe and cut the gourd as well as clean the inside. We will paint the gourd using Gourd Master paints and then concentrate on creating and attaching a goat skin drum head. You will walk away with a complete, playable drum that you will be proud of for many years.

Class is part of the "Music in the Mountains" Festival. Class fee includes admission to the festival.
